New Hicks Collection

The late interior design doyen David Hicks (pictured below) is the inspiration behind our new collection, which is arriving online and in-store now. Below are the collection notes, which - in their traditionally overexcited and overly alliterative way - will tell you a bit more about the thinking behind it and, should he be new to you, the man himself.

Our SS26 collection stands tall, shoots the cuffs of its pleasingly cut silver-blue silk and linen suit and sashays back to ‘60s London in the company of David Hicks, the inimitable and occasionally irascible interior designer and colossus of colour-clashing chic.
 
Frighteningly fashionable, Hicks was the decorator of his day, sprucing up the pads of any number of aristos and parvenus with his heady combination of period pieces, contemporary furniture and abstract art, the whole caboodle invariably framed by coruscatingly colourful walls and kaleidoscopic carpets. 
 
This is a bold, sharply geometric and colourful collection that captures the character and unmistakeable aesthetic of a true design maverick.

Prancing accents of saffron, cobalt, peppermint and papaya are grounded by urbane notes of slate and bone.

Suiting is featherlight and unerringly sharp, with lively checks and prismatic stripes signalling Hicks’ penchant for graphics and the playfully provocative. 

Casualwear offers softly structured jackets in breezy cotton jacquards, louche shirts with camp collars and relaxed trousers cut for movement.
