THE TWO-TONE WALLET
Pockets are not universally popular with tailors. Put the wrong things in them and they will spoil a suit, much as a mole will do the same to a lawn. The classic Richard James Two-Tone wallets, introduced in 1998, were designed with that in mind and were so spot-on they have been in production every year since. Made from very fine calf leather, they are not only soft in the hand, but deceptively slim, a welcome panacea for protruding pockets. The bright interiors (they come in red, lilac, and Royal blue), are another example of our favoured gambit of using under-the-radar flashes of bold, character-defining colour, that we first employed with the linings of our suits.
