25 Pieces - 07 The Pocket Sqaure
The sixth of the twenty-five pieces that have set Richard James apart. Taken from the in-store and online-now Richard James book.
Knowing men look to pocket squares to elevate and breathe new life into a suit or jacket with a differentiating touch of colour and contrast. But at Richard James they are also seen as blank canvases, the perfect, square-framed opportunities to present the inspiration and ideas behind each seasonal collection. This particularly popular mint ombre example was a part of Autumn/Winter ‘17’s razzle dazzle camo and op art-inspired Camofleur collection, which, as the effusive show notes explained, celebrated a 'buoyantly beffudling British innovation and the extraordinary art it impacted on'. Always Italian-made, in silk or fine cotton and with hand-rolled edges, Richard James’s pocket squares present a potted history of its celebrated in-house print design.
